Create a complementary system to that of Uprint machines to collect, after each semester, midterm exam, group project or academic year, the paper used to print past exams, powerpoint slides and what not. Capture the carbon dioxide, more tasty food!

In general, climate warming results from an overly high level of carbon dioxide in atmosphere. A special device could be installed on the roofs of every building in McGill in order to capture or adsorb the carbon dioxide. expiry dates

Having the expiry date on the consumable products been properly adjust to reflect real acceptable "best before" dates. If these are shorter than needed, we either end up buying smaller format size products; with more packaging or we end up buying bigger format size product which we may throw in the garbage before we end the product because of the expary date occurance.

Piezo-electric material to light up auditoriums

Piezo electric material are crystals that produce electricity when they experience mechanical stress. Why don't we install these materials in high traffic areas such as big auditoriums? Or simply install them in rooms where light doesn't have to be turned on unless someone is in the room?

Electronic Invoice Payments and Approval Process

We should pay our invoices electronically through direct payment from our McGill RBC bank account to our vendor's accounts and also the approval of large payments over $10K should also be electronic. Decrease the number of Office Garbage Bins

Most offices and work stations have their own garbage bins (with a plastic bag) and a recycling bin. This mean that every night, custodial has to empty these bins and often replace the plastic garbage bag. Remove all of the indivuals garbage and recycling bins and put them in one ore more central place depending on the size of the office.
